PART 3 DAY 1
After reading the several parts taken from interviews, I can conclude that some of the people liked doing their jobs, even though some of them were life-threatening. Some of them even encountered people being killed doing their job. Other people had an attitude like their job was better than nothing. I also learned more about what those workers go through and how their life is much different from modern day life. Some questions asked for certain happenings that occurred while the people were working. Others asked about whether the people appreciated their jobs. Their answers went in depth about certain things that happened and reasons for whether they liked it or not.-Patrick S.
PART 3 DAY 2 1. In this interview, the interviewer is Perry L. Rhussus. Rhussus is interviewing Jesse Owens on April 22, 1939. Owens is an African-American male born to Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Owens. During his life, Owens studied at the University Of Ohio. Later on, he became known as the fastest runner in the world. This led him to become an Olympic winner. (In his early years in school, Jesse became part of track team which also led him to his Olympic win.)
2. In this interview, the interviewer is Helen S. Hartley. She is interviewing Jim Davis, a man who was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, British West Indies, in the year 1878. In his early years, he was very happy with what he had. He soon became a cabin boy for a ship. Later on, he became a water boy at Lock I on the Tombigee River. Moving on with his many jobs, Jim started working at an Alabama Corn Mills Company. Before this company went out of business, Jim found someone and soon married her. Jim was then doing a couple of odd jobs to raise money. He soon found jobs that he was able to stick with. Overall, Jim Davis recalls having a good life.-Patrick S.
